Flammenmeer (Ger:  Inferno):
A race of firey demon-like Wesen that are inspired by various myths and conceptions of Hell and the Underworld.    They are known for their control over fire and their pyrokinesis ability.

They are mostly antagonistic in the Wesen world,  sometimes taken on a villainous position or if not a villain -  a henchman/henchwoman for hire or a mercenary.     They usually serve fellow demon Wesen and are very closely connected with Teufelhund (Hellhound-like Wesen).

These Wesen are known for their vicious agression and their relentless nature,  as they will usually stop at nothing to make sure that their plans fall through,   even to the point of poisoning non-Wesen  in order to do it.

When woged their skin colour turns a deep redish colour with a scaly mottled texture,   their eyes turn yellow or sometimes turn a firey orange colour as if they are burning like the fires of Hell itself,    their fingernails grow longer and sharper to resemble claws,     they gain a more muscled built,    demon-like wings grow out from their back,   their canine teeth extend to become fangs and they develop forehead ridges (giving them a more monstrous appearance),   they also have much deeper voices.

Their venom as they call it mostly comes from the tips of their claws,   which if used has the potential to poison their desired prey thus weaken them for a few brief periods of time - slowly draining them of their essence and physical strength -   this usually takes much longer on much stronger Wesen species but it has little to no effect on Grimms.

They aren't aggressive towards Grimms but they do tend to be a bit edgy around them.

Schneefrau (German: Snow-Woman):

A mysterious winter spirit-like Wesen known for their ability to protect people and for their ability to control ice and snow.   These are a mostly female Wesen species, as there are very few males. These Wesen are known for making pacts with the people they are protecting,   swearing to stay by their side forever if said person vows never to tell others about them.

This Wesen is the inspiration behind the Japanese legend of the Yuki Onna as well as the  gargoyle segment from  Tales From The Darkside:  The Movie.    These Wesen can adapt rather well to climate changes,   and can blend in with the snow.

When woged the skin of this Wesen becomes ghostly pale,  their eyes turn black and their hair grows longer as a white fur-coating grows on their shoulders and chest-   sometimes they wear long white dresses to give them the allusion of being ghost-like or having no feet.

These Wesen live by a very strict code,   if a person is rescued by one of them -  they must make a pact -  promising never to tell others about what they did for them.   If this code is broken,  they stop caring for said person and become cruel and vengeful.

They are coy and friendly towards Grimms,   and are often viewed by them as being innocent and harmless except if provoked or if a pact is broken.   Of course...if that does happen the Grimm intervene.

Drachepferd (Ger: Dragon-horse):

A race of draconequus-like Wesen that specialize in mischief and chaos,  they are known for knowing how to use advanced Zaubertrank to cause chaos.   And are for being extremely unpredictable. And are also quite rare,  but are often said to be quite crazy because of their personalities.

These Wesen are often a main enemy of certain equine based Wesen species,  in particular Weingkleinpferd or Pferdchen.   Personality wise they tend to be very eccentric and a little on the crazy side.

When woged,  they grow taller and more lithe and they develop amber yellowish fur from the neck-up,   and dark greyish reddish brown fur on the rest of their body,   their hair becomes a rather scraggly mane of sorts,   their left hand alters to become semi paw-like while the other one changes to resemble a talon,   their eyes turn a yellowish colour with crimson colored pupils,   and their teeth do sharpen with one of their canines extending and becoming a quite long fang.

They often work in the same division as Hexenbiests but not alongside them as they prefer to work with other Wesen species,   sometimes either just to manipulate them or to just mess with them as if they were ‘trolling’.    They are generally very playful towards Grimms,  always trying to find new ways to toy with them.

Gestaltwandler (Ger: Shapeshifter):
A race of reptilian wesen that inspired the David Icke reptilian theories.  These Wesen are often government types or business types with a high position in terms of rank and power.   And are also the more complex of Wesen species in terms of personality,  they are not outright evil or corrupt in anyway but are shifty types like the majority of most reptilian Wesen.

They can regenerate their limbs if they fall off and they have a long, flexible tongue that can be used to grab things.   They are often untrustworthy in the eyes of Grimms because of their long history.

When woged they develop light greenish or brownish green skin that is mottled but also quite scaly,   their eyes become slitted and reptile-like,  their fingernails become long sharp claws,   their teeth sharpen and their tongue becomes reptilian in shape.  Most of these Wesen tend to talk in a smooth,  sinister sounding voice with a few reptilian hisses thrown in.

Sometimes these Wesen when woged tend to have a few spikes or even a frill around their neck akin to the Frill-Necked Lizard.   These Wesen have a peculiar way of raising their young,   as they don’t feed them directly and send them out to hunt for food when they’re old enough.   They don’t particularly look after them at all unless they are teaching them how to search for food or how to fight off potential threats.

As mentioned before -  these Wesen are known for their ability to regenerate their limbs if something such as an arm or leg falls off or is lopped off.

Esqueleto (Spanish: Skeleton):
A race of semi undead Wesen that are the basis for the calaca (skeleton) in Mexican folk-art and the Day Of The Dead.     They are known for their devotion to their long gone loved ones and their free-spirited nature as well as their trademark festivals which they have every year between September and November.

They are free-spirited,  full of holiday spirit,  energetic and very easy going,  they also care very deeply about their loved ones especially if said loved ones were very close to them at the time of their passing.

When woged their skin turns ghostly pale with very intricate markings on their faces,  their features become sharper and slightly more ghoul-like in terms of looks,    dark makeup appears around their eyes to give them a gaunt and hollow appearance and they grow taller and more lithe -   sometimes they may sport a rose in their hair.

The significance of the rose is a reminder of their loved ones,   in particular wives or husbands that may have left them or passed away.     They are welcoming and respectful to Grimms and are eager to share their traditions with them.

Although technically semi-undead,  they're not 'zombies'  or 'ghouls',  they're sort of in between in some aspects only they're not as gruesome.    They are gentle and are mostly very kind and good-natured.

Übelvogel (Ger: Evil Bird):
A vampire finch-like Wesen that is native to the Galapagos islands,  they are known for their bloodthirsty nature towards other bird-like Wesen species.  It is never a good idea to cross their path especially if you happen to be a bird Wesen yourself,  for they might see you as a potential meal.

They are sneaky,  tricky,  cruel and are generally despised by other Wesen species due to their nature.   Their peculiar diet is due to them not being able to get freshwater from their location,   and their technique is one way to get parasites out of plumage.  But despite this there are mainly viewed as being predatorial.

They are a sexually dimorphic in look,   as when woged males may have black feathers while females may have silvery feathers with brown streaks,   but both genders when woged have their nose and mouth fuse together into a sharp beak.   They also develop wing-like arms.

They are also known for their high intellect and often serve as criminals or hitmen/hit-women when it comes to their choice in occupation,   they will usually peck at the skin of other bird-like Wesen until blood is drawn.   Towards Grimms,  they are usually very coy and well-mannered.

Zibetkatze (Ger: Civet):

A civet-like Wesen that are known for their agility and their work in the coffee making industry,  they are very mischievous and playful most of the time but are extremely naive and shy around Grimms.

When woged they develop semi-brownish fur on their bodies,  their hands alter in shape to become semi paw-like,   they also develop small sharp teeth capable of biting and claws that are used for digging.    They also develop a prehensile tail and dark brown markings around their eyes,  their eyes turn a yellowish amber color and they become slightly more lithe in build,   their ears becoming rounder and furrier.

Female Zibetkatze take part in special rituals once a month,  this is a reproduction ritual in which they get ready to give birth to children,  the children usually come in a small number  and they are usually dependent on their mother for feeding,  nurturing and protection.   Being separated from their parents can cause some traumatic effect on them, especially if the parent goes missing.

They are usually shy and naive when dealing with Grimms as they are timid and often afraid of them -   but once they get to know them they become potential allies for said Grimms.
