TftW: The Tale of Lord Bloodhoof

There was a 32 year old man named Willoughby Webster,   he lived a boring normal routine life in a normal boring routine city.

Every day he would get up  for work at his least favorite place,  the Abilities work station where he would file nails until after 1pm and sometimes come back in a rather bad mood afterwards.

But there was a secret that he had that no one else knew,  he was a brony,  he LOVED My Little Pony:  Friendship Is Magic and he was fascinated by the world of Equestria.

His favorite pony was by far Twilight Sparkle because she shared an interest in the magical arts that was equal to his own,   but he was also fond of the series villains especially Discord and the devilishly twisted Queen Chysalis.

One night he returned home from work and in his usual manner he sat down in front of the tv and decided to relax when his wife came in.

"How was your day,   honey?"

"Oh it was just so miserable and dreadful.  I did the same thing I always do,  at the most boring job in the world."

"Tell me all about it."

"All I do all day is sort nails and put them into files and put those files into boxes.   It's just NOT fair.   It's just not fun,  it's just so boring."

"There there honey,  things will get better."

"No they won't.   This whole routine has really driven me insane in the head,   in fact instead of this job...I would rather be dead."

"Don't be like that,   I'm sure that tommorow will be different."

"That's what they always say,   but every day is the same."

"Don't worry about it.    Everything will be alright in the end."

"Your optimism always brightens my gloomy days,   but not tonight..."

His wife left him to go and answer the phone while he got out his laptop and went on Deviantart to find MLP fanart.


While there,   he came across the work of one DPMoonwalker33,  who he had recognized from his RP sessions as Staten the gargoyle.    

He was surprised to find that he had been added in one of his stories,  as a charismatic royal pony by the name of Lord Bloodhoof.

He loved RPing as the Lord Bloodhoof persona as it gave him the chance to let his more humorous side take hold and the scenarios he acted out as the character were often very intriguing.

"I see my good friend Staten has remembered to include me in his pony adventures.   I must admit that getting to appear in them is indeed an honor.    If only there was some way to repay him."

He scratched his chin and thought for a few seconds before logging into his email account,   he typed up a thank you email message for his friend and sent it to him along with a picture he painted of Staten and Lord Bloodhoof all dressed up for a costume contest.

After this he continued the RP session with him but little did he know that something supernatural was in the air.

As he is in the middle of said RP session,   there was a tapping at his window -   he went over to the window and saw there was a young foal sitting by it,  the young foal looked sad and lost.

"Aaaaw...what is wrong,  little one?"

"I was trying to get back home to my brothers and sisters but I got lost along the way,  I was wondering if you could help me,   Lord Bloodhoof."

"You know my pony name?"

"Well of course I do,  everyone knows who you are.   You're the most charismatic royal pony in the whole of Equestria."

"You're right there.     But I don't know how I am going to do this."

"Here,  try this."

The young foal grabbed a bag of magical items and gave them to him,   he picked up the bag and was puzzled but at the sametime intrigued by the contents.

As he reached inside the bag,   he found a special kind of elixir that had been made in Zecora's hut.

"Am I supposed to drink this?"

"Yes.   You are."

He was curious and yet slightly cautious,   he was worried that it might be poison or something else that could kill him.

"Are you sure this isn't something that could kill me?"

"Yep.   Give it a try."

"Oh alright if you insist."

He picked up the elixir and began drinking it sip by sip and as he did he began to feel a surge of supernatural energy flow through his body.

In addition to this his skin was turning a dark purplish colour as his hands slowly transformed into hooves.

The same was happening with his feet as the purplish colour reached his lower half including his legs as his feet became hooves as well.

A cutie mark in the form of a Tim Burtonesque swirling shape materialized on his backside as a long black equine tail grew out with a few red streeks on it.

"It's working!"

"I'm turning into a pony!  I can't believe it!"

His hair grew into a long black mane with a few red streeks in it as his ears moved to the top of the head and became pony-like.

A royal  dark red  outfit made of satin materialized on his body along with a pair of striped pattern on his outfit.

A pair of wings also grew out but these weren't ordinary Pegasus pony wings -  these looked more like bat-like in terms of shape.

His eyes changed colour from dark blue to a shade of dark green as he took on a more animated appearance and his face pushed out into a semi equine muzzle.

When his transformation was finished,   he was now a pony but not just any pony  - the charismatic Lord Bloodhoof.

"Do you like it?"

"Oh yes! I love it!  I forgot how dashing I looked as this character."

"Are you ready to help me now?"

"Yes,   I am."

He flapped his wings and the young foal hopped on his back and he flew off into the night and over to a rather elegant looking manor just nearby.

The doors of the manor opened and the two looked around to see that every single one of his friends had been turned into ponies as well and were throwing a welcome back party for the young foal.

Staten the gargoyle had helped plan the party along with Starla "Starlight"  Everhoof,  the resident pony of Delta House.

"Mother! Father! Brothers and pegasisters,   I am home!"

"We're so happy you're back,  son.    Thank you Lord Bloodhoof.     What would we have done without you?"

"Oh,  Celestia knows!"  

"Well in any case...thank you."

"It's not a problem at all.   I was glad to finally get away from my boring normal life and my boring house."

"You certainly won't be bored here.    Not as a pony,  after all -  with friends like us,  who needs to be normal anyway?"

He grabbed a goblet and held it up,    turning to face the crowd of ponies and giving a big smile.

"I propose a toast! To my new friends the ponies of Equestria,  and my close friend Staten the gargoyle!"

With that he and the other ponies put their goblets together and cheered and they celebrated all night long.

Staten the gargoyle entertained the guests with a very special heavy metal concert and there were lots of other ponies taking part as well.

As for what happened to him later,   well he decided to stay as Lord Bloodhoof and that he didn't want to go back to leaving a boring normal life  -   living as a pony simply was the much better choice.

Remember,  just when you think that every day will be the same -   something supernatural might come along and surprise you in almost any way imaginable.
