Description

This is my vampire double feature screeenshot meme featuring From Dusk Till Dawn and Bram Stoker's Dracula.

From Dusk Till Dawn:
1.  The movie I have picked needs no introduction...for it is simply the most badass vampire movie ever...I present to you, the 1996 classic From Dusk Till Dawn,  one of the best examples as to what I think a vampire movie should be.  Scary but at the same time haunting,  alluring and fascinating.  I like how it starts off as a typical criminal caper then goes into full vampire territory with the Titty Twister scene.
2.  The Gecko Brothers,  Razor Charlie,  Sex Machine,  Frost,  Santanico Pandemonium.  All of them are good really.
3. The Gecko Brothers kick ass, Razor Charlie is awesome,  Frost is epic,  Sex Machine is a badass, and Santanico is a hottie. Everyone in this movie is wonderful.
4.  Not applicable since there is nothing to hate about this movie,  there is nothing wrong with it as it is epic and perfect.
5.  None...so here's Sex Machine just being awesome and stealing a beer with his whip.  Tom Savini rules!
6.  I couldn't find a pairing so I went with a group,  Seth,  Frost, Jacob - and Sex Machine.
7.  None. So here's Sex Machine kicking ass during the big brawl at the Titty Twister.  What can I say?  It's awesome,  plus I love Sex Machine and his gun themed codpiece.  Plus,  he kicks some serious ass in this scene.
8.  Sex Machine transforming bit by bit into a vampire,  it just cracks me up -  especially when he covers his mouth after his fangs start forming,  and his right hand changes to become all monster-like with long claw-like fingernails and then his left hand changes and then he hides his hands behind his back.  And he's completely unaware of it at first as is everyone else.  It's got my two favorite kind of TFs (transformations) in them -  the 'Bit By Bit' variety where a person changes one part at a time,  and the 'Completely Unaware He/She is Transforming' kind where the transformee doesn't realize he/she is transforming.  It's no wonder Aardman paid tribute to this scene in Curse Of The Wererabbit.   If you listen closely you can hear the acid rock version of Star Spangled Banner playing during the part with the demonic voice telling him to 'kill them all'.
9. When Ritchie Gecko dies...but luckily he comes back...as a vampire that is.
10. Santanico Pandemonium's dance scene.  Still impressive even to this day,  even more impressive considering Salma Hayek is afraid of snakes and had to be hypnotized in order to overcome her fear.  I'd let her bite me anyday!
11.  Seth: Now that's what I call a fucking show!
12.  Razor Charlie all vamped up.  Yikes...remind me never to make Machete angry!  Because he can get really bloodthirsty when he's hungry as well.

Bram Stoker's Dracula:
1.  The movie i've picked is one of my favorite vampire movies next to From Dusk Till Dawn,   Bram Stoker's Dracula released in 1992.  To me,  it is a perfect example of what a vampire movie should try to be like.  Scary, but also haunting and alluring just like how I think vampires in general should be.   Fun fact: The anime 'Helsing' is based on this version.
2.  Well..let's see I LOVE everyone in this movie,  but especially Prince Vlad/Dracula.  Out of all the Dracula variations i've ever seen,  I think I LOVE this version the most.  Why?  Because Oldman's version of the Count is more complex than other portrayals and is sympathetic.   Pictured here is Dracula in his 'young' form.   Mmm...yummy.   But I also have to mention Renfield,  Sedward,  the brides, and Mina and Jonathan as well as Abraham Van Helsing.
3.  Oldman's version of Dracula is not only scary and haunting,  but also sympathetic.  I even saw myself in him and could relate easily to him,  I always sympathize more with the monster characters more than the human characters when it comes to movies like this because I feel their pain as well.   Fun fact: Gary Oldman learned Romanian for the part of Prince Vlad/Dracula,  and also he kept one of the coffins from the movie and used it to scare people.   Plus,  I love how this version of Dracula has multiple different forms and not just the ol 'turning into a bat' thing unlike other versions.   Pictured: Dracula in his old vampire form.  In Mockingbird Lane,  there is a scene with Grandpa (Eddie Izzard) where he's wearing a similar outfit to Drac here.
4.  I don't have a character I hate so I just went with a pic of Renfield about to eat a spider.
5.  See above.  I just wanted to post a pic of Renfield being his insane self.  What can I say?  Tom Waitts rules as Renfield.
6.  Vlad/Dracula and Mina Harker.  The hypnosis/seduction scenes really did it for me.  Plus the reincarnation aspect with Mina being Elizabeta was a nice touch.  Mina is so lucky.  Damn,  I wish that was me in there getting bitten,  hypnotized and turned like that!
7.  There are no pairings I don't like...so I just thought of putting up a pic of Dracula's brides seducing Jonathan in bed.  I wish that was me in there as well! *sigh* Oh well,  a monster can dream can't they?
8.  Anthony Hopkins as Abraham Van Helsing.  In particular the scene where Mina and Jonathan ask about Lucy Westenra dying and how she died,  and Abraham Van Helsing's response to Mina's question.   Van Helsing: Ja, she was in great pain; then we cut off her head and drove a stake through her heart and burned it, and then she found peace!  Jonathan: Doctor,  please!.  Maybe it's the fact i'm a little bit of a sadist,  but I LOVE that line - it just cracked me up.
9.  It's hard to say which part made me cry the most,  either towards the end with Vlad/Dracula and Mina,  Dracula's death at the end of the movie,  or the part at the beginning which explains his backstory and how he renounced the lord after finding out his wife Elizabeta committed suicide after hearing of her husband's supposed death -  so I went with both the former and the latter.   The former because it was just so enchanting and beautiful,  and the latter because it really made me feel for Vlad/Dracula...poor guy,   can't say I blame him for denouncing the lord and becoming a vampire....what happened to his wife was just tragic.
10.  Sooooo many scenes to choose from,  so little time to list them all.  Let's see,  I love the Renfield scenes,  all of Abraham Van Helsing's moments,  the opening scene explaining Drac's backstory (I like how they based it on the historical inspiration for Dracula - Vlad Tepes/Vlad The Impaler),  the scenes of Drac using his vampire powers,  and especially the hypnosis/seduction scenes with either Dracula himself or the brides.  Especially the one with Mina.  (Mina: Take me away from all this death)  Me: And me,  me too...please?
11.  A simply stunning masterpiece of a horror movie that I would definitely suggest watching this if you want to see a real vampire movie at its finest,  I suggest a marathon of vampire movies with this one,  Lost Boys,  Shadow Of The Vampire, Once Bitten, Love At First Bite,  Dracula: Dead And Loving It,  Vamp,  Underworld,   Fright Night 1985,  From Dusk Till Dawn,  Van Helsing,  Hotel Transylvania,  and The Addiction among others.   Trust me,  you will not regret a single moment of it.  Plus,  it's a good crash course on vampires.
12.  Dracula in wolf form.  Because well...I love the design of his bat and wolf forms.
