Goosebumps
------------------------------------
Werebelushi:
Hello everyone,   I am That Werebelushi In The Shades and welcome to the first of my After Dark segments where we talk about all things horror -  since here in the Monster World it's still technically halloween I thought it would be a terrific idea to discuss the upcoming Goosebumps movie.    Now  i'm sure all of my dear friends here would know that a Goosebumps movie had been planned for months,  possibly years but it was around last year on  Friday the 13th of September that it had been announced for real.

The plot from what I have read so far is very interesting,   basically R.L Stine as played by Jack Black faces a dilema of paranormal propositions when the creatures from the books come to life,   you see in the movie not only are they real but they are so incredibly dangerous that he keeps them locked away inside the books.     And yes,  for those who are wondering the real R.L Stine will have a cameo in it.

Several monsters from the books are also making special appearances such as The Executioner from a Night In Terror Tower,   The Scarecrow,  The giant praying mantises from A Shocker on Shock Street,    Murder The Clown,   and The Mummy from Curse Of The Mummy's Tomb.    There were some other ones but they were cut for budget reasons,  but nonetheless it looks like we're getting quite a few interesting familiar faces.

Including the living dummy himself,  Slappy!  And he's gotten a brand new look.    In fact he actually does look more like how he looked on the book cover.     Yes,   he's going to be one of the primary villains/antagonists.     The new Slappy was seen at Comic Con earlier this year,   and he was totally stealing the show from Jack Black.

Other monsters included will be the fish-creature from Deep Trouble,   the creepy  Kids of Bell Valley from Haunted School,   Carly Beth/Haunted Mask from the Haunted Mask,  Count Nightwing from Vampire Breath,    Curly The Skeleton,   Cuddles The Hamster from Monster Blood II,   the titular Monster Blood from the Monster Blood series,    The Body Squeezer  from Invasion Of The Body Squeezers,    The Lawn Gnomes from Revenge Of The Lawn Gnomes, Professor Shock,    Seth from The Headless Ghost,   The Blob from The Blob That Ate Everyone,   one of the 'Creeps'  from Calling All Creeps,   Captain Ben from Creep From The Deep,  The Pumpkinheads from Attack Of The Jack O Lanterns,  The ghouls from Attack Of The Graveyard Ghouls,    The Abominable Snowman Of Pasadena,   Madame Doom from Help!  We Have Strange Powers!,   A Muglani and Cronby from Deep in the Jungle of Doom, The Shrunken Head of Baladora from How I Got My Shrunken Head,   The Mud Monster from You Can't Scare Me and finally my personal favorites -  the Horrors from the Horrorland mini-series. So you can tell the producers have quite the monster line-up in-store for us.

I hope my fellow monsters out there are just as excited as I am,   because I can't possibly tell  you how psyched I am for this.    I know that some people are doubting this is going to be good or not,   but I am remaining positive as I feel this will probably be good when it comes  out in theaters.

I have a feeling it is definitely going to be like a mix of Beetlejuice,  Hocus Pocus and maybe possibly a more lighthearted version of Creepshow.    But from what I have seen so far,   it looks very promising.      The movie is scheduled to be released on August 7th,  2015.

Stay tuned for more 'After Dark' segments and more exciting horror news,   as well as personal insights into the supernatural and other unexplained entities.      Coming up  soon my friend Monstermaster13 will be doing salutes on Stephen King,   Rick Baker, Tim Burton and Tom Savini.  I will also be doing rants on various halloween or horror topics such as annoying creepypasta cliches,  urban legends,    the overruse of CGI in modern horror,   today's lack of halloween specials,   ABC's Halloween line-up,   the stupidest ideas for monsters,   the stupidest costume ideas and more.

Remember to tune in each week as I give you some horror insights to simply die for,  not literally of course.   I'm That Werebelushi In The Shades,   reminding you to keep your eye out for anything scary that may be lurking near by.  Oh,  and remember to always  check under your bed,   in the crawlspace,  closet or attic for monsters.

To play you all out -   I have these words of advice,   heed them well.   The darkside is always there,   waiting for us to enter -  waiting to enter us,   until next time...try to enjoy the daylight.  *the theme from Tales From The Darkside plays as the screen goes black*

*The credits roll as a montage of classic horror movie clips appear on screen with  the Is This Scary/Thriller/Threatened mix from Michael Jackson's This Is It playing in the background, we see Michael with werecat eyes from the Thriller video at the end as Vincent Price's laugh plays*
