Favorite Disney Villains.

Description

- Gaston (Beauty And The Beast).  Believe it or not there is more to him than just being an arrogant show-off,  for one thing there's his obsession with Belle - sure he wanted to marry her for shallow reasons but still...he's different than most Disney villains because he doesn't start out evil to begin with,  which leads into the second reason why there's more to him -  the theme of duality,  in a way you could say he and Beast are opposites of eachother because normally in a story like this Beast would be the monster and Gaston here would be the prince,  but it's the reverse here because the hero/anti-hero is a monster on the outside who becomes more human-like on the inside while the villain is a good-looking human who becomes more vicious and monstrous on the inside.  Add to the fact that Beast and Gaston BOTH have the same eye color as well.   Also thanks to certain fanfics i've read and taken a liking to,  i've been starting to see him in a different light.
-  Pete (Well..just all about Disney media really).  Not only is this cat (yes I am calling him a cat even though some think he is a dog or a bear) one of the oldest Disney villains in history but he's also the very first one ever created.  He's been in just about every Mickey related media and then some.   And he's so versatile,  you can have him take on any job in the world and just about any type of role you can think of and chances are -  he's probably had that job or taken on that role.
-  Hades (Hercules).  What's even better than a good villain?  A great and hilarious one.  And that's Hades.  Everything he says is just laugh out loud hilarious and you can really tell James Woods had a LOT of fun voicing him (in fact James Woods himself really loves the character in general,  so much so he's reprized the role numerous times),  next to Yzma,  Captain Hook and Bowler Hat Guy  -  he is one of the funniest Disney villains ever.
- Scar (The Lion King).
- Professor Ratigan (Great Mouse Detective).  Two words: Vincent Price.  The man is/was legendary in horror cycles,  not to mention his parts on the Alice Cooper album "Welcome To My Nightmare" and the Michael Jackson song Thriller.   It's hard to forget that infamous voice and that equally as infamous evil laugh. Speaking of the former,  can't you just imagine Ratigan doing that speech from the end of the "Devil's Food" song?  I certainly can.
- Governor Ratcliffe (Pocahontas).  If you're looking for a Disney villain to compare Trump to,  I think Ratcliffe is the perfect choice for that.  After all he has many things in common with the tangerine terror himself.  Of course he's a bit less of a sissy than he is though (although he is pretty girlish at times).
- David Xanatos (Gargoyles)
- Doctor Facilier (Princess And The Frog)
-  Horned King (Black Cauldron)
- Chernabog (Fantasia).
- Captain Hook (Peter Pan).  The most iconic thing about this villain is he extends beyond Disney as well and still comes across as one of the most well-known villains in literature as well and is still iconic to this day.  Heck,  there's even a Disney photoshoot that had British comedian Russell Brand dressed as him recreating the 'Hook about to be eaten by the croc' scene.
- Yzma (Emperor's New Groove)
- Cruella De Vil (101 Dalmatians)
- Hildy Gloom (The 7D)
- Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty)
- Madam Mim (Sword In The Stone)
- Ursula (The Little Mermaid)
- Shere Kahn (The Jungle Book).  Both the original one and the 2016 one.  The 2016 one in particular because of his look and how he's voiced by Idris Elba.
- Syndrome (The Incredibles)
- Mirage (Aladdin tv series)
- Demona (Gargoyles)
- Frollo (Hunchback Of Notre Dame)
- King Candy/Turbo (Wreck It Ralph)
- Mosenrath (Aladdin tv series)
- Jafar (Aladdin)
- Heinz Doofenshmirtz (Phineas and Ferb).  Not only is he hilarious but he has the saddest backstory i've ever heard.
- Forte (Beauty And The Beast: Enchanted Christmas).  Two words: Tim Curry.
-  Gantu (Lilo and Stitch)
- Sykes (Oliver And Company)
- Horned King (Black Cauldron).
- Mother Gothel (Tangled)
- Zira (Lion King II: Simba's Pride)
-  Gravitina (Buzz Lightyear Of Star Command)
- Barbossa (Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise)
- Davy Jones (Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise)
- Randall Boggs (Monsters Inc)
-  Nos 4A2 (Buzz Lightyear Of Star Command)
- Red Queen/Queen Of Hearts (Alice In Wonderland).  I love all versions of her really because she's such a fun character due to how insane she is and how she can go from being calm to being absolutely furious and crazy in a matter of minutes.   I also think Helena Bonham Carter was terrific as her in the Tim Burton version.
- Shan Yu (Mulan)
- Anglerfish (Finding Nemo).  This fish is every small fish's worst nightmare,  she's ferocious and entices her prey using that rod that protrudes on the top of her head.  And yes she is a female anglerfish since the really scary looking ones are female and are much bigger than the males who are pretty much extremely tiny.
- Negaduck and all the Darkwing Duck rogues gallery (Darkwing Duck)
- Lotso (Toy Story 3).  I know I should hate this guy but I can't find it in my heart too, because I know what it feels like to be unloved.
- Saleen (Aladdin tv series)
- Oogie Boogie (Nightmare Before Christmas)
- Reed Thimple (Country Bears).  It's Chris Walken...I can't say no to the Walken.
- King Louie (Jungle Book 2016).  I know a lot of people were skeptical about Walken voicing the role but I knew Walken could do it, and I was definitely impressed when I saw him in this.   He's huge,  fierce and intimidating with a smooth-operator persona thrown in.  Plus,  making him a Gigantopithecus (a prehistoric ape) as opposed to an orangutan which isn't native to India - was a clever move indeed which is reflected in the 'I Wanna Be Like You' cover as sung by him during the credits.  Oh, and I like the little easter egg involving the cowbell.
- Hopper (A Bug's Life)
- Miss Hannigan (Annie 1999).  If there's one actress I admire -  it's Kathy Bates.  That woman is a mistress at playing a variety of different characters although she is most definitely at her best when playing the role of the kind of woman that could be like your mom or aunt one minute and the next goes flat out psycho.  See also her Oscar-winning performance as Annie Wilkes in Misery.  I think out of all the women to play Miss Hannigan next to Carol Burnette, she's definitely the best one.
-  Dawn Bellwether (Zootopia).
I am glad that there are other people who love this little sheep as much as me.  I never got the hate for her. Is it because of the 'surprise villain' thing?  Because that's not how I see it.  She's NOT evil for the sake of being evil like most big bads are.  She's definitely more of those 'it hurts deep down' type of villains that weren't evil to begin with but were pushed too far due to abuse and what not.  And fyi,  I find the Trump comparisons to be completely wrong and unfair.  Have you people even seen what Trumpty is like?  He is a heartless monster who probably doesn't even care if he is putting innocent lives in danger.  That man's behavior is appalling.  I mean THAT guy is going to be your new president next year? YIKES! I better hope you'll be ready for a year of constant sorrow!  Bellwether is NOT like that,  she is certainly not like Hillary either,  because she seems to be a bit more on the shy,  naive and meek side.  This character is basically a nod to that old idiom of a 'wolf in sheep's clothing',   but also there is a lot about her that could be expanded upon in someway.

Honestly, even though some Disney Fans doesn't really know about Kingdom Hearts, Xehanort is a great Disney Villain.
